What we assess

Our focus is agentic AI in healthcare. In addition to agentic AI, we assess technology strategy, governance, platforms, vendors, and delivery in healthcare and other regulated environments.

Agentic AI direction and readiness

We help leadership determine where agentic AI is worth pursuing and what the organization needs to support it. This can include organizational readiness, use-case selection, investment priorities, data and integration requirements, and the health of existing pilots or production initiatives.

Governance, risk, and controls

We assess how an organization governs agentic AI and other consequential technology initiatives. We examine accountability, human oversight, data use, security, compliance, evaluation, monitoring, and the connection between organizational policies and technical controls.

Technology initiatives and portfolios

We provide an independent view of initiatives that are difficult to evaluate from inside the organization. We examine strategic alignment, architecture, delivery capacity, operational readiness, dependencies, investment requirements, and whether existing commitments still make sense.

Products, platforms, vendors, and sourcing decisions

We help organizations evaluate products, platforms, and vendors or decide whether to build, buy, or work with a partner. For health techs, we assess product and market readiness for enterprise healthcare customers. We define the criteria with your team, examine technical and operational fit, identify material tradeoffs, and document the basis for the recommendation.

Engagement process

Define the decision

We begin by agreeing on the decision the assessment needs to support and setting a clear boundary around what will be evaluated. We identify the relevant stakeholders, evidence, constraints, and decision criteria before the analysis begins.

Gather and analyze evidence

We review relevant documentation and prior work, then interview the people closest to the question. Depending on the scope, we may also examine technical artifacts, map controls and requirements, assess an initiative against agreed criteria, or compare platforms and vendors.

Deliver findings and recommendations

We synthesize the evidence into a written assessment and review it with your leadership team. The report distinguishes findings from assumptions, explains the reasoning behind each recommendation, and identifies practical next steps.

Frequently asked questions

Are assessments limited to agentic AI?

No. Agentic AI in healthcare is our primary focus, and many assessments concern readiness, use cases, governance, risk, or platform decisions. We also assess related technology initiatives, portfolios, vendors, architecture, and operational questions where our team has relevant experience.

How long does an assessment take?

Most assessments take two to four weeks from kickoff. A tightly bounded question may take less time. The main variables are the number and availability of participants, the evidence available, and the depth of analysis the decision requires.

What will you need from our team?

Every assessment needs an executive sponsor who can define the decision and provide access to the right people and materials. Depending on the scope, we may also need participation from technical, operational, security, compliance, legal, procurement, or business leaders.

Who conducts the assessment?

Our assessments are led by senior staff, with additional technical or subject-matter support when the scope requires it. Our team has led healthcare transformation, enterprise architecture, engineering, cloud, and regulated-industry work from inside AWS and complex healthcare organizations.

What is outside the assessment?

An assessment does not include implementation, remediation, formal audit or certification, or legal and regulatory advice. It also does not presume a follow-on engagement. Your team may act on the recommendations independently, engage another provider, or ask us to scope separate implementation or advisory support.
